Is there a sickness bug going round?

Is there a sickness bug going round? My son (2 years) has been ill. We had projectile vomiting at lunch and dinner yesterday and he ate nothing today except custard creams (he was very demanding) and the whole lot came up at dinner. He seems a bit under the weather in himself. Is there some kind of bug doing the rounds?

My DH says take him to doctor tomorrow but is this a waste of time - are they actually going to do anything other then saying to keep him hydrated?

a few of my friends have had it. we all had it last year, its horrible. keep washing your hand, all the time or you might all get it

dd had something like this earlier in the week. Was horrid. Can't see what the doctor will do unless you're worried about dehydration - do you have any Diarolyte?

i'm in the south of ireland and there definitely is here. my son had it, i had it. several people i know their whole family has had.

it's quick though! 3 vomits in 12 hours then you're done!! (for an adult anyway). sorry tmi

Thanks all. Yes have diarolyte but he won't have it as it is not a custard cream. We are currently up in bed watching Peppa Pig and (me) hoping he doesn't throw up all over me (again)

How about a trade - have a few sips of Diarolyte and then you can have a custard cream? Though yuck to the idea of custard creams at any time, especially with a stomach bug..,
