So, does anyone have a child who DOESN'T have a cold at the moment??

I know my title is flippant, but just so at end of tether with snotty colds! My dd (5) had swine flu three weeks ago, and now she has a streaming cold! She is sleeping badly, grumpy and really hard work and I feel awpul for being so inpatient! There, spleen vented!

we've all had it & left with the cough
DS has just split his lip as he was obviously worried he'd be all fine and sleep too well

winestein · 19/12/2009 22:13

DS just got over swine flu just over a week ago. He got it just after being diagnosed with Chiari Malformation the week before. I wish he had a streaming cold. I really do.

I do know it's all relative though

GloriaInEccentrica · 19/12/2009 22:14

neither of my disgustingly healthy DDs ever get colds. can't remember the last time they did.

me however - one after another after another.....

ShinyAndNew · 19/12/2009 22:15

I have one out of two with no cold. She does, however, have chicken pox

So, I'd guess that pretty soon t'other one will have both a cold and the chicken pox

TBMOM · 19/12/2009 22:16

DS has had a fever for 3 days and I imagine he's feeling rotten. He's not sleeping and can hardly breathe through his nose so he's in bed with us at the moment so none of us are getting any sleep. Dp and I are just starting to come down with whatever DS has and I'm a CMer so plenty of colds and viruses travelling around our place! It never ends! I've only just recovered from a nasty bought of hand, foot and mouth too! So you have my sympathy!

shinyshoes · 19/12/2009 22:18

ds1 he's 12. he isnt showing signs of anything yet!! yay!!

FanjoForTheMankySocks · 19/12/2009 22:18

my dd just had a chest infection, ear infection then a vomiting bug and cold at same time, she has lost loads of weight and been sick every day for last 2 weeks, theres a lot of it about!

NoahAndTheWhale · 19/12/2009 22:19

I think DS and DD might have finished their colds. But they had them up until a day or so ago.

MissMoopy · 20/12/2009 11:16

I feel humbled, I really do. Glad I have only one snot monster now!

Its cough and cold central here at the moment. We are all really well for about 18mths at a time then we all get ill together and it takes us about 6 wks to get over it collectively.

Bloody marvelous!

TulipsAndTinsel · 20/12/2009 11:39

all three of mine are snotty and miserable, as am i.

i've never had a year like this for bugs, normally my kids are the only none snotty ones in their classes but this year they seem to be catching everything.

moaningminniewhingesagain · 20/12/2009 11:49
