Honestly this evening she sat there with a T shirt and 2 fleeces on, everyone else in the family just had either a T shirt or light fleece on. Her hands were like ice, she also complains during the summer that she is cold as well. Very rarely her hands and her feet are warm, she is constantly asking for a hot water bottle.
At one point this evening she was walking around indoors with gloves on her hands because they were that cold.

DH and I find this really hard to understand as we are some warmblooded people and very rarely feel the cold to thin extreme!

Do we need to take her to the DRs? She is 15yrs old.

Many thanks

yes you do. it sounds like she has poor circulation

GossipMonger · 15/12/2009 21:43

I think you should talk to the dr about her circulation as it is certainly not right to be so cold all the time.

If the blood isnt circulating properly then it could cause more problems in the future.

Hope she is ok.

id take her to docs tbh. she might have raynauds ..,poor wee girl .

mynaughtylittlesister · 15/12/2009 21:55

OK, will take her, tonight really did open my eyes to how cold she was actually feeling, I even turned the temp up on the thermostat for her.

Poor love, I always told her to put an extra pair of socks on etc as I am the complete opposite to her.

she might need to be on nifedipine to help open her capillaries in her extremities. might be worth a trip to doctors. Does she get white finger when it is cold?

mynaughtylittlesister · 15/12/2009 23:05

Have never noticed white finger. Last night her feet were really red.

Well I took her to the Dr this afternoon. He is pretty sure she has Raynauds. He wants to do a blood test on her to check for anaemia and thyroid. He wants to see her again in mid Jan to see where we go next.
