Any ideas what this is?

DS (3) has a largish red spot on his cheek with a really raised white head centre... none anywhere else that I can find. Other symptoms are sore throat, bit of a cough and general grizzles... no temperature, and not really poorly. Any ideas?

I am due to have a c-section next week, slightly prematurely to twins... I'm on bedrest, pretty immobile, and we are relying on a variety of friends (all with children) to look after him this week. Why do they have to get ill at times like this?!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not really sure, but could it be the start of chickenpox - or maybe just a normal spot? Sounds daft, but I seem to remember mine getting the odd zit for some reason, even when very young!

Thank you - he's had chickenpox... I guess it could be a random zit, it looks absolutely horrible though, far worse than anything I had as a spotty yoof
