When do I see a doctor?

My 7 month old baby has gone off his food in the last couple of days. Weaning onto solids has been going pretty well, and he's normally very eager for his food and milk. However since Friday he has been showing very little interest in solid food and is starting to show less interest in his milk now. He ate most of his porridge this morning, but no lunch or tea. He has had about 15oz of milk today so far, but usually he would have had 23oz by now. He has had some water too.

He doesn't seem too ill so that's why I'm not sure what to do. He just seems more tired than usual (not surprising given lack of food) and more cuddly. He is still very smiley though. His tummy is gurgling a lot and he has had rather runny poo the last couple of days, but it isn't green or really watery. His first teeth starting coming through 2weeks ago and are only a couple of millimetres through so far. I'm not sure if that is what is causing the dodgy tummy.

Might be panicking about nothing, but since he is my first I don't know when to go to the doc and when to watch and wait. Any advice?

he is eating/pooing
is he alert?seem like himself
teeth coming in can cause nappy rash or decreased appetite
you don't mention temp,so presumably he is apyrexical
you say he is drinking fluids

bottom line only you intuitively know your own baby.if worried or he deteriorates call nhs direct/gp
