any idea what is the youngest surgeons will remove adenoids on LO?

ds2 is 12 months and been under various specialists since he was born. One being ENT specialist. When i last saw him in the summer (im just reading a copy letter from that appt) he said he does have enlarged adenoids. He still having problems with his nose being very crusted and interfers with his breathing alot and he also has sleep apnea. I am going to ask when i next see him but do i remember they wait to see if they grow into them?

my Ds suffered with tonsilitis and enlarged adenoids from when he was 18 months every few weeks he was on anti biotics but despite this they didnt take them out till he was 29 months!

thats rubbish! Poor you and him! He hasnt needed anti biotics apart from once in the summer he has tonnsilitus..

duh dont know what i was thinking when i typed that age! LOL sorry he was 4 years and 5 months when he actually had his tonsils and adenoids out and had suffered from when he was 18 months. He has also failed hearing tests because of his adenoids being so large!! DUH!

The ENT dr said any time from 12 months on, if warranted. dd had them out at 25 months, but thats because we didn't realize she needed it before.

i managed to arrange ent appointment for beg of jan to discuss again. Im still not convinced that this isnt ds1's problem aswell. Especially as he was llike this from born.

Do you know if adenoids can cause apnea?
