My 12mo dd had one bout of barking cough and was a bit bunged up a week on Wednesday but seemed fine after a couple of days. She then got a bit cranky over the weekend which turned into a bit of a high temp on Monday and was listless for a day but then was fine on Tuesday.
However, on Tuesday night she developed a high temp of 102 all through Wednesday and I spoke to the doc who said bring her in on Thursday if she still had a fever.
Of course Thursday was back her old self, laughing a playing (although was slightly off her food for the first time) so I didn't bother.
Yesterday she was fine again - no fever and pretty happy, but was still off her food bit at breakfast and lunch and by dinner would only eat a fruit pot - but still seemed really chipper. She was very tired by the evening but I put it down to an empty tummy (although she did perk up a bit after I bf her).
But today she seemed really unhappy after breakfast and a long milk feed and vomited everywhere about an hour after. She then cried until we put her down to sleep (she also has a rattly cough).
She woke a couple of hours later and is still not herself but did eat four rice cakes and a fruit pot plus had a feed from me.
She then cried until we put her down to sleep and she was out for the count immediately.
I know children can seesaw with symptoms and I'm guessing this is just a cough/cold which is causing a bit of a tummy bug. But am I doing the right thing with just feeding her my milk and rice cakes?
When do I start to worry?
