Is reflux hereditary?

DS1 had reflux until he was about 9 months old.
I'm pregnant with DS2 and I'm just wondering whether he is likely to also suffer with reflux?
Anyone with more than one DC who's had it, or equally, where one DC is affected and others haven't been?
I know this isn't statistical, but just interested to know really.
Thanks

my DS had reflux and grew out of it by around 6/7 months (was on meds)

he is now 3.5 yrs

DD (8 weeks old) has mild reflux - lots of hiccups and some sickness but nowhere near as bad as DS

apparently boys are more susceptible and tend to have it worse than girls (altho all babies are born with a degree of reflux becuase of their immature digestive system)

Ds1 had it until about 12 months old. Was quite bad until about 8 months.

Ds2 didn't have it at all.

My 3 yo DD had it until 12 months, quite badly although gavsicon did the trick once docs finally agreed to treat it at 6 months. My 12 months DS also suffered although not quite so badly, still needs Gavison in milk though.

I was told by Docit can be hereditary.
