My DS1 who is soon to be 4 is having an operation to correct an undescended testicle in january. It has taken this long because when it was first brought up two years ago we were told by the specialist it was retractile but now we are told it is more undescended and that is much better for his future and his well being to have the operation. I had a good frank discussion with the specialist who advised this but I would appreciate to hear from you about any similar experiences and what to expect in reality etc etc..I am concerned but seems we have no choice but to go along with this operation.

ds had it done at about that age(once when he was 3 and then again when he was 4) it was fine, bad bruising after, but other than that no problems.
he will thank you when he is older.
