DD going excessively going to the toilet

My DD (3.8 and completely potty-trained day and night) is forever going for a wee. Sometimes she goes 4 times in an hour. She certainly doesn't drink enough water in a day to warrant the amount of times she goes. Infact she hardly drinks atall. I have checked and sometimes she only wees very little. I have asked her if it stings or itches when she wees and she says no. Do you think she could have a urine infection?

The other thing is that she seems to think it's all a bit of a joke. She quite often exclaims "Oh mummy, I need to go for a wee again!" in a sing-song voice. Which makes me wonder if it might be a bit of a psychosomatic?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It could be either. You could take a wee sample to the docs to get it analysed,to exclude UTI.

There is a rare, and I repeat RARE,very rare condition called diabetes insipidus which is characterised by frequent urination.

I think your first port of call is to exclude UTI at the doctors, though.
