Quick question...
Ds is in a lot of pain and has a raging fever.
Can you give Nurofen and paracetemol together or alternate them??
Googling finds conflicting advice!

Help!!

they work differently so you can give them together.

however, if you give them both at the same time their efficiency will peak at the same time, then wear off together too. So if you alternate - give paracetamol, then two or three hours later a dose of nurofen, then two or three hours later the next dose of paracetamol, etc. - there's always one drug at maximum efficiency, iyswim.

hth.

Thank you all.
I'll stick to alternating them so he's not in so much pain. My poor little toad.

you are better to alternate them...bearing in mind that ibuprofen is a 3 times a day dosage ..NOT four, like paracetamol. Ibuprofen should be given with or after food but not on an empty tummy.
