DD2 aged 13 weeks was in A&E this morning with uncontrollable coughinhg and gagging. so scary i was in bits.

I have been told she has a common respiratory virus (probably caught from my 4 year old) and bronchilitis and her stats are fine just go home treat temp and congestion and wait and see.....

she is so young, when do think the worst is is over???

Her first signs were little coughs on thursday. BTW she had her second set of jabs last tuesday. She was put on antiobiotics for a temperature on friday by GP and told today that not even bacterial but have to finish the course anyway. Now she has a bit of diaorhhea and thrush appearing on tongue (which we took weeks to get rid of)

i am trying to get her to feed and sleep since when awake she gets distressed. she is now covered in excema too which i guess was triggered by the virus.........arrrrhhhhh

dd had it around the same age, I was told as longa s her o2 levels were ok she could stay at home but it was horrid for a few days. Keep the air in her room moist (humidifier ?) and sit her upright as much as possible. If she gets very wheezy, breathless, or dehydrated go to a and e. Afetrwarsd dd got an ear infection and uti so was quite poorly for 2 weeks ish. Hope your dd2 feels better soon
