Ds (3.5) has a smelly ear (and a cold) - do I need to take him to the doctor's?

He's quite happy in himself, doesn't seem to be in any pain at all, just ear smelling terrible. He had grommets put in a year ago.

Yes - sounds like an ear infection and grommets could well complicate things iirc.
