Frequent tiredness in 3 year old

Hi, I'm just after some advice about my DD1 who is three and a half. She complains frequently (every day at least once) about being tired. I don't think she is sleep deprived - she sleeps 11-12 hours at night and although she doesn't nap in the day any more she usually has some quiet time watching a DVD at lunchtime. Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this or has any thoughts - I veer between thinking I'm worrying about nothing and imagining all sorts of awful things!

Thanks - does anaemia have any other symptoms? And is it common?

she would be pale and if it is bad she might be a bit breathless. It also could be lack of certain vitamins or even a growth spurt as that can tire them out too.

get checked out anyway, but fwiw my 3.11 dd is permanently worn out at the mo, we keep blaming colds / asthma, but tbh I think it's just that they find it hard going to find the energy to get through a busy day. My dd has started the school nursery class in sept, so goes to 'school' every morning, thus earlier-than-she'd-like waking up time, and as you say no afternoon nap as we had to ditch them before she was 2yo.

Does she eat / drink enough, and have a few [healthyish] snacks like rasins through the day? What's her diet like?
I've also had an anaemic ds, caused by him not absorbing any of his foods properly because of some food intolerances, he has been on iron for a couple of years on and off, and is a different child from the lethargic, pale, headachey one when he was anaemic.

I think her diet is reasonable - I do give her healthy foods but she is getting a bit picky these days! I will ask doctor to check her for anaemia - thanks
