My son had grommets put in in October, and over the last couple of days, loads of gunk (for want of a better word!) has been oozing out of his ears (the right being worse than the left!). It's not green or smelly, is no worse really than a snotty nose, I suppose, and he has had a rotten cold (his permanent state, mind!) - but is this normal? I thought the grommets were supposed to help it drain internally?! It does look like snot, though...yuck. Should I take him to see the GP? Nothing like this has happened up until now.
