DS1 2.5 started with mild vomiting on sunday with a mild fever and was exhausted, grey with sunken eyes, no appetite. Only vomited 3 times. Then on monday and tuesday he just had a mild fever and tired but was streaming thick green burning mucous and coughing a bit. TOnsils are enormous and red. Yesterday he had 4 spots on his face in a cluster, red with a white middle - identical to some of the pics on the web of how chicken pox starts. By 11am he had about a dozen more and 3 on his tummy. Final count was about 30 on his face last night, which got smothered in calendula cream before bed.
So off we went to the doc, to find out if it was chicken pox, who was essentially rubbish - really non commital but thought it probably was the start and would develop into full blown CP over the next few days.
This morning he is much the same but the spots are starting to fade & there is no new ones . Generally he is fine in himself, just very whingy and clingy.
if its not chicken pox, what could it be ?
