Sudden bad cough - please reassure me !!

I can hear DD (3) coughing quite badly in her sleep. The thing is that this has suddenly come on, and it sounds different to other coughs she has had - more like a barking cough. I am very worried. Thinking swine flu or croupe. She does not seem to have a fever.

my son 2 had a really bad cough recently that quickly was joined with very high fever, i was very reasured by nhs direct, they can help you figure out if she needs swine flu treatment if your worried. wanted to get logan checked by doc as a temp could mean infections, hes fine now, theres alot of it about. give them a call. hope she feels better soon x

I agree there is a lot of colds and coughs about at the moment so dont worry. I found the best cure was my humdifier. If you buy a humdifier you will get rid of it in a couple of days and it also keeps the room temperature down so will help with a fever too!! Good Luck.
