Tics??

My son has started getting mild tics, shoulder shrugging, nose twitiching. It comes and goes. It appears mostly when he is anxious or nervous. This has never happened before just from 4 months ago.

I dont know too much about mild tics, and would be helpful if there was anyone else on here that might have kids with tics, for some advice.

Doc says it's nothing to be concerned about has they usually grow out of it!

My dd had this when she was anxious or concentrating on something, I think it started when she was about 3 - I was told that she would grow out of it. She is now 7 and has stopped doing it - so I would agree with your doctor!

Also my brother has always had this but only when he is anxious and it is only really noticeable because we know about it.

My dd has a hand flapping one. We know when she is anxious by looking at her. She also sticks her tongue in the side of her mouth when she is lying which is useful.

dt2 had a blinking his eyes one, it soon dissapeared. Just ignore them, if you draw attention to it, it seems to get worse.
