Hey hope all your babies are well.

My lo is 11weeks old now and had a tough start for her. She firstly comfort fed, and we had to discourage that as wasn't putting on much weight as only getting the top milk. Then she started screaming in pain so much so that she'd throw up, choke, put her nails into her palms and leave marks etc & had costant explosive stools with blood. we went to the gp 3 times for them to not even check her to b told she had colic.

well last week she had such a bad day tues that she didn't stop screaming for 6 hours, and then cried on and off all night so i went to gp with my mum in tow (to back me up) we asked for an emergency app, and I have never been so angry, he took one look and said - i thought it was an emergency i see quiet baby, i explained she stopped at 720am & had considered going to a & e - well he said there was nothing they could do (again not even checking her). so we went to a&e and they were fantastic. they think she has silent reflux and cows milk intoerance.

so we have 1/4 of fastab which neutralises the acid in her tummy, and i have stopped eating any dairy. her stools are so much better - she goes every 3 days and not explosive and no blood. so what is my problem still??? - well she has the tablet in an eve & it has an instant effect with in 30min, she sleeps better at night, but from lunchtime onwards the tablet has obviously stopped working and we are back to screaming in pain.i have changed dr surgerys and new dr was ver good today but said she was on max dose for her weight and to come back in 2 weeks if no better and theyd refer to a specialist.

has anyone any advice - we keep her upright as much as poss, her cot is on an angle, i carry her loads etc. any help greatly recieved, or am i just expecting too much and hoping there is a magic cure!!!

sorry for long post i cut it down as much as poss
