DD is 2.2 and in good form eating well, sleeping well pooing and weeing well. She has no temp but she has had a cough for two weeks now a rough cough.
I am debating whether to take her to the Doc bu I am unsure what they can do, she's not wheezy or anything just this cough, any ideas appreciated!

Probably no help whatsoever but my DD, also 2.2, has exactly the same thing going on - worse at night. I put a diffuser in her room and it does seem to help a little. I wonder if it's exacerbated by the central heating being on?

I have used tickly cough syrup stuff which did seem to help a bit but not enough to make me really recommend it.

Hope you get someone with a bit more experience to help!

I meant, of course, more experience than me!

Hi my DD1 has had a cough on and off since about 1 1/5 (now almost 3) and we have taken her to the doc a number of times.

We keep her room moist ie damp towel over radiator and have sometimes used a humidifier to keep the air damp when the cough is really disturbing her sleep. I also give her warm lemon and honey drinks to sip - which seems to help.

The Doc did give us a venilator/asthma puffer thing which I guess has made a difference esp if she has been running around alot.
