hi my ds2 has been ill since monday hes been to the docs who gave him antibiotics /calpol been hes done nothng but sleep hes hardley eaten anything ,but drinks a lot should i take him bk to the docs

ils, how long has he been on the antibiotics?

What did the doc say he has?

Normally, for a few days, it doesn't matter if he doesn't eat much, as long as he drinks loads, that's fine. Sleeping a lot is also not a bad thing as long as he's fully awake in between sleeps if you see what I mean.

How old is he?

hes 3 in dec ,he got his antibioctics on turs he wont eat but will drink ,hes done nothing but sleep for most of the time apart from the odd 30 mins hes awake ,im just a bit worried by all the sleeping hes doing !!

sprouts, the sleeping is not a bad thing, and you'll probably see a big improvement after 48 hours on the antibiotics. Drinking is vital so it's a good sign he's thirsty.

Just keep offering him tiny bits to eat, the odd marmite soldier? a bit of jelly?

hes gums are all red and sore/bleeding so hes going to the dentists today has thsy dont look right at all
