Any Mums with children with recurrent impetigo? help!

DD 2.10 has had impetigo a few times before around this time of year.

This is a particularly nasty case and she is on AB 4 times a day and has been swabbed to make sure of the bacteria. They have made so little difference before all they do is run her down but will obviously finish the course (if there is anything left of her!).

I am just so worried - she looks like something from the middle ages and it's taking so long to clear up.

If you are worried there are creams you can get from the doctor than she might prescribe for you to use between seeing outbreak and getting an appointmnet.

Locally applied Iodine is also thought to help but is not an effective treatment by itself.
