Anyone's dentist told them their under 2 has bad teeth due to using a bottle?

My friend just took her 23 month old DD to the dentist and he told her that her morning and bedtime bottle have given her an overbite and she needs to stop them right away. Neither me or her thought such occasional bottle use would affect the teeth that much of a child under 2 tbh. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced the same?

Seems to be a trend at the moment od Dentists 'picking' on young children for sucking anything.

I still go by the premise that as long as they have stopped for the most part before the adult teeth come in then all should be well.
