3 year old being sick since Sunday

Can anyone help with this: my 3 year old DD has been sick since Sunday and has bad tummy pains. Doctor (on Tuesday) said she was constipated and has given me some lactolose and she has been to the toilet since but she keeps getting tummy ache and is being sick.
She is scared of going to the toilet for a number 2 but I am encouraging here and letting her have nappy to make sure she goes when she needs to.
Any advice? (I am going back to the doctors tomorrow but would love to hear advice from other mum's)
Thanks

I didn't think that constipation caused sickness?? I would call NHS direct tbh to have a chat ...

She is now managing to do her number two's but is still having the pain. I will be taking her to the doctor's in the morning because she clearly isn't well.

I think part of the problem is that she doesn't want to do her number two's in the toilet - she only seems happy to do them on her own, wearing a nappy, behind the chair. I think it's more psychological.

Any advice to help her to see that toilets for number two's aren't scary? She doesn't mind going for her number one's at all.

Thanks

Ask your health visitor to refer her to a specialist/consultant (in some areas they are known as the poo nurse!). Our son who is 3 had the same problem for about 8 months. The specialist gave another medicine that pushes the bowel and the lactolose softens it. Your daughter may have a slight tear around her bottom from the straining which will also cause discomfort. I kid you not, our son was 'sorted' within a week and now happily goes to the toilet with no problem (fingers crossed and touching wood as I type this!)
Hope this helps. Good luck x
