Soft Lump Near Spine After Sitting In Car Seat

Last Saturday we drove to Cornwall, a 7 hour journey. The next day I noticed that three year old DS had a small soft swelling next to his spine. It went down completely after a couple of days. For the journey home I padded the seat with a towel and he has no sign of a swelling again. Could it just have been that the car seat back is too hard, especially for long hauls?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Although it’s true that a child is not intended to sit in a car seat for long periods, for mental as well as physical reasons- please if the lump returns you should see a doctor. it could be nothing -or something serious
