2 yr old whith thrush please help

my 2.6 yr old dd has trush in her mini moo and is in alot of pain this is the 2nd time in a month we have cream but dont work straight away iv given her a cool bath with no soap and given calpol but she cant wee as it hurts her what eles can i do late sat night and sunday till docs open mon

are you sure it's thrush? My dds get it, but it doesn't seem to hurt them when they wee. Might be worth getting her looked at.

btw have no good advice, can't seem to properly shift it here either

My little sister used to get this really bad at 2, best thing was lots of air so no nappy/pants as much as possible and metanium cream was great IIRC my mum got it in Asda.

the docs have give me some daktacort hydrocortisone cream and it worked last time

Does not sound like thrush unless she has nappy rash with it??
Try and get a clean catch urine sample, how to do it is explained a bit lower down in this article and take to your dr's surgery to be sent to lab for culture.
Thrush can be itchy and is sometimes part of nappy rash, but in itself it does not make weeing painful.

BTW, as long as weeing hurts you can try encourageing her to wee in the bath. If it is her vagina/vulva that is sore, this will help. If it is a bladder infection it won't.

she wont wee anywhere but her nappy (oh and on her sisters foot once )
