Chickenpox in 4yr Neice's lady bits - any suggestions?

DSis worried as her daughter has chickenpox but it particularly bad around her private bits and bobs. Really really bothering her with itching and sore. Any cooling suggestions of what dsis can put on for her??

Porridge oats in a sock. Pop it and her in the bath. Fab for soothing the itch (though rather messy)

I was in france when my DD got chicken pox at 3. She was a nightmare with sores everywhere. They gave me a spray disinfectant "biseptine" and a anti-itch cream "P.O. 12". I know in england they don't give anything, but ask your pharmacist they might have them over the counter. What was important was to clean her bits after each toilet trip with fresh water and pat dry, it will last a few days though as they dry quite quickly. No bath untill she feels better, it will make it worse.
And absolutely no nurofen with chicken pox only calpol

My DD had dreadful spots on and in her niff naffs. My GP told me get her in the bath everytime she needed a wee - was the only way she'd go as it really stung.

I don't follow that you have to say 'cunt'.
How about vulva or vagina (althoguh these are of course vile sounding words too).

Because in very rare cases chicken pox may induced very serious health issues and any kind of AINS (nurofen, aspirin...) will make it worse

Sassy - did the porridge oats with DS1 - thought it worked a treat but he didn't have crevices full of spots. Although he did have one right on the end of his winkler. Bless him.
