Nappy Rash - 10 month old

Dd2 has some sort of nappy rash. Luckily, neither of my girls have ever had any sort of nappy rash/sore bottom so I am clueless.

It is mainly in the genital area on the outer skin and is quite red and hot looking. It is obviously itchy as she tries to scratch when I take off her nappy.

I have tried sudocreme and nappy-free time but it is worse today.

Does this sound like nappy rash? What is the best treatment?

Thanks

a thin layer of metanium cream with sudocrem on the top worked when my lo's had nappy rash. Watch out for the metanium as it is yellow and can stain.

metanium is fab, as it is really really thick, has quite a strong smell but works really well
