Single Mumps vaccine

My DS has had all his vaccinations as singles but I am having difficulty finding a clinic offering Mumps at present (Oct 2009)for his booster. Anyone know of a clinic?

from googling, merck (the manufacturer of the mumps vaccine) is not making it at the moment and doesnt expect to for some time (about 2 years)

this is true Merck did say that they are not making any for 2 years IN THE USA!! They have applied for a license to make it in India though. They are lying toerags that just want to stop people having a choice! Funny that in 2005 there was a huge outbreak of mumps in teenagers and some younger kids in iowa where the uptake of MMR combined vaccine was around 98% - so if it works how did all these kids get mumps. Simple answer is IT DOES NOT WORK in a combined vaccine. In the end they had to re-vaccinate with single mumps vaccine!!!! Beware of giving MMR combined to give mumps immunity because the "immunity levels" are very poor in over 50% of all kids that have the combined vaccine. Furthermore it is the action of the measles and the mumps both being given together that causes the grief! Both components are metabolised through the bowel, measles causing "pitting" and mumps causing inflammation of the lymph system. Together this causes T8 cells to leak through the colonic barrier and cause more problems. Wakfield is still studying this and is to release further news soon!!

Sardean, do you think a healthy body is able to metabolise out the damage you describe? Would like to know more if you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks for this. I have had so many conflicting stories including one from my doctor who said he can have the MMR now. Doh? why would I do that having gone to all the trouble for the last five years to give singles. i can't imagine what the effect of this would be on him!

i am lucky that he has had the first one therefore his immunity is at about 96%+ but I will wait until the manufacturing begins again I guess. If it is India (cost obviously) will it available in Europe?
