my DD (12) has been diagnosed with reflux, which started after she had swine flu back in July. She has been put on Gaviscon 4 times daily.
The GP has diagnosed the reflux as she now only sick if she eats fatty foods - whereas previously it was after any food or drink. I have no idea what the implications of long term use of gaviscon are (too scared to google and would like to ask if anyone knows what i should be asking GP for?
SHould she simply stay on the gaviscon with no tests?
Should she try coming off it?
Is this something that she is always going to have?
