Hi, my daughter has a viral infection in her mouth. It's extreamly painful for her. She's on anti viral medicine, calpol and calprofen. She also has a spray for her mouth.
The problem is she's not eating or drinking. She's only had a few sips today and screams after every sip. She says she's hungary, but can't eat anything without being in pain.
I've tried jellie, ice cream, custard and yogart. She has one mouthful then cries and won't eat any more.
It's also extramly hard to get her medicine down her. She'll take the calpol but dosn't like the other two. The calpol on it's own isn't enough to take the pain away.
I'd be really greatful for any advice as to how to get fluids down her and also her medicine. (I've tried a syringe, but she spat it out).
