My 7 year old broke his arm at the weekend and is now wearing a plaster cast. I know that the golden rule is to keep the cast dry, and it seems there are various ways this could be done. But how do I ensure that his hand is properly washed-especially as we enter swine flu season? I know there are the "goo" gel soaps around but I'm worried that will also cause the cast to go soggy around his fingers. Does anybody have any tips?
