Chicken pox?

I've no experience of chicken pox at all so forgive my ignorance...

No temperature, but unwell since last thursday. Big tonsils, sore throat, swollen glands in neck. Sneezing, snot, cough since yesterday.
Got up this morning with spots, but only on her face? on chin, under chin, and a few up round her mouth.

For some reason I didn't think it started on the face? (told you I was ignorant!!)

What do we think?
(typical...due to start school on thursday in reception!!)

Also what are the chances of the 9 month twins getting it? And me?

the spots will become blisters (water filled) within a few hours if its chickenpox but it does sound unusual. Mine never had any cold type smptons. Just spots.
dc4 had it at 9 months.

was it hard at 9 months?

easier than when the other 3 had it as toddlers. She was a bit whiny but our biggest fear was her seizures would come back (we'd just cured them)
She did look like a horror film monster though with spots n scabs

oh I'll look forward to the monster!

I guess we'll just have to wait and see...although she hasn't asked for anything to eat yet and she's been up since 7, which says a lot

mine got it really badly it went right through there digestive system and made their willies swell up. It was really worrying to see DS1 as he had over 100 spots. DS2 caught it within 10 days. Just keep them cool, put calamine lotion or calamine in aqueous cream on all the time and if really itchy by some aveeno scahets. They contain oatmeal and if you put it in the bath as the instructions say it really stops the itch
