My father has been grinding his teeth all his life, started almost as soon as he had teeth...he's now 77 years old, still has some of his teeth (mainly just the front ones, as never been to a dentist in his life)& as far as I'm aware, has never suffered with worms! My daughter (7) also grinds her teeth & she's never had worms either!!!!!
Hope this helps. Sounds like a very old wives tale to me x
