squint / epicantic fold?

Hi there,

I took my 19 month old to the dr the other week for something and the dr mentioned he thought he had a squint. I have just been to see our regular dr (we were staying with relatves the first time and had to go to a different dr) and she mentioned something about a possible epicantic (sp?) fold as the squint isn't there all the time.

Just wondered f anyne has any experience of this and what the outcome was.

Thanks

yeah had this with DS - HV thought he had a squint, referred DS to opthalmology, who told me DS didn't have a squint but just looked liked he might have because of a broad epicanthal fold -i.e. being broad across the top of his nose.

thanks TotalChaos - did it resolve itself as he got older?

it wasn't really a case of resolving itself, as once opthalmology said no squint, that was that iyswim.
