Another MMR query...

My 13 MO son had the MMR plus the booster of PCV yesterday morning. He was up crying and roastingly hot all night (no sleep for me) plus this morning his face was covered in spots. Now everything I have read says 1-2 weeks later you may get a rash but 24 hours?? He's had a temp of 37.8 all day, won't eat and has a horrendous cold. I'm just wondering if it's something else as I'm not sure it's possible to have a rash that fast...any advice?

I really hope you rang your gp about this earlier, mmr should not ( according to the imms nurse at my practise) be given with any other immunisation.

Write down everything that has happened to him, and tell the doctor you have made notes. The temp is not that high. Hope the rash has faded.

I looked at pics of measles on the internet and they don't look anything like what Luke has. His look more like chicken pox - hmmm.
