DD constipated - help!

My 20 month DD has not been for a poo for 4 days and has cried most of today trying to go. She has been drinking regularly and I have given her syrup of figs (although she hated it). She is really struggling and I don't know what else to try. It is clearly hurting her when she strains to go and I think she is now frightened.

Any advice?

try giving her a long warm bath to relax her and calm her down and then maybe try a tummy massage using 3/4 fingers in a half moon shape clockwise over her tummy
