The phantom photograph licker

OK, I feel a bit silly for asking this, but anyway.

DD (aged 3) just got hold of one of her birthday cards which has a photo of her and her cousin glued to the front of it.

Anyway, I wondered why she was looking guilty, it seems she has been licking the photo on the card . Said photo has now gone a strange pink colour, I gather this must mean she's swallowed some sort of property off the photo image (if that makes sense? Ink? Chemicals? I don't really understand these things)

Would this be dangerous? She's not seeming to be adversely affected at the moment

I would keep and eye on her to see if anything develops .

I think I would ring a photo developing outlet and ask if its toxic or not, or ring nhs direct. Might seem daft but on the other hand someone on here the other day thought their child might have swallowed a battery and someone else said it would be fine - it wouldn't!

I don't know the answer but it would be best to find out from the poisons unit accessable via nhs direct...

Hope its nothing to worry about.

NHS poisons unit were fab when my grandad accidently swallowed one of those drying out sachets thinking it was sugar.

I have rung NHS Direct. Lady was very nice and has told me what to look out for if there is a problem/action to take etc.

It's sooo embarrassing - the amount of times I have rung NHS Direct about "things she shouldn't have eaten" incidents...

DD seems fine right now - just caught her eating dry Weetabix out of the box in the kitchen.

I do feed her! Honest!!! I know it's not hunger - just everything has to go in the mouth
