how can ihelp 8 month old chicken pox scar?

he had chicken pox quite badly a few weeks ago and is onviously still marked but they are flat so think will fade but the one place i didnt want him to scare is right in the middle of his forehead. It def is scared as is a dip. Is it better to scar this young? Can i do anything to help it? It is quite big..

My ds has a similar prob fortunatly the scars on his face are quite small. I was planning on looking at the bio oil the next time i go into boots to see if its suitable for his age group, I used it on dd2 when she fell over and took the skin off her nose. It too was deffo scarred and after about 6 months of use once a day its virtually invisible. Expensive but worth it...

This is what it says on the bio-oil website (I was going to suggest trying that as well)

Although Bio-Oil was not developed for use on babies, it will not be harmful when using the product on the unbroken skin of infants over 2 years of age. However, the product must be applied with care, and should not be used near the eyes or mouth.

It might still go to be honest. Deeper scars take ages but at 8 months there is a good chance it will disappear on its own. It just takes a long time. DS had CP a few months back and his deeper ones are fading a bit - I'm hoping they'll continue to sort themselves out - he has a big one between his eyes!

oops and I used it on dds nose when she was about 11 mnths old did work tho...

funnily tho I always read the info on everything so maybe it didn't say that back then?...

i thought of bio oil but wondering if that because the scare is a 'dip' wether it would actually do anything? I suppose no harm trying!
