tonsilitus?

Hi all,

DD is 3, she has hardly eaten today and has a temp of 37.9. I just checked her throat and its a bit red but i noticed a big white spot just behind her tonsil on the right side, she has to really say "ahhh" loud and open her mouth wide to notice it. She has had tonsilitus before but i have never seen white spots...so im not sure if it could be this or not?
The spot kind of looks like an ulcer but whiter in colour. I have her booked in to see doc at 5.50pm.

Thanks. She has just said her neck hurts too i feel like an awful mother because like i said i haven't seen white spots before, so it must be bad this time! Problem is she doesn't tell me when she feels poorly! Thanks for your reply
