We have been diagnosed over phone with swine flu few days ago, DS1 and I.

I got tamiflu,

DS was supposed to have his dropped off today but no-one did!

But he was fine today

but now has a temp of 38.1 and is coughing all over

i dunno what to do

he has has calpol!

please!

Ibuprofen?

Or call NHS direct?

am on phone to njs direct, on hold for ages

no nurofen in house

am panicking

You say hes coughing - assume breathing ok? (if not obviously hang up and 999)

Any underlying health probs?

38.1 is high but could be worse. Is he out of bed? What age?

hes 4.5,

he was fina all today,

hes just lay in bed with dad

We have NHS24, its slightly different. How does NHS direct work? Have you spoken to a triage type person?

out of hours GP rang, by that time calpol had brought temp down to 37, he was drinking, laughing etc,

so just put him back to bed and kept an eye on temp.

This morning he seems fine again, but thats like yesterday, at night he gets bad.

Am getting tamiflu delivered.
