Baby's first jabs: Can diarrhoea be a side effect?

DD2 had her first round of jabs yesterday. She was fine really, but did have diarrhoea - 5 dirty nappies in the space of 12 hours. Could this be a side effect, or is it just coincidence?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Never heard of diarrhoea being a side effect but DD2 did get vomitting after her first jabs.

My dd had a bit of a reaction to her first jabs - slept for about five hours, then woke up screaming for two hours in which she pooed and pooed and pooed - lots of diarrhoea, then threw up everywhere (her leg swelled as well - wasn't a fun day but of course she was fine and smiling by the time we got her back to the docs )

If you're worried just double check with the surgery nurse - they'll soon have you back in there if it doesn't sound right...

Nurse says it's unlikely to be a side effect but to come in and do a sample.

How did you get on Schulte?

No news yet - thanks for asking. Sent in a sample and we should get the results later today, or tomorrow. DD2 is still pooing all the time so I am taking her to the doc's this morning. The colour and consistency have changed though and it looks more like normal poo so hope that's a good sign.
