Blood test results

Is it usual not to give the results over the phone but to have to make an appointment. There seemed no immediate rush for gp to see us again and receptionist wasn't even sure if ds needed to be there too. Might she just want to check him over ?

I don't know anything about your dd - how old he is, or what the blood tests were for etc, so I can't give you any proper advice.
However, if they're not desperate to see him, there can't be anything too serious.
If he is very young, it is quite uncommon to have bloodtests, so they might, as you say, just want to check him over.
