Is it OK if a 7mo has chewed lavender in the garden?

I have just noticed my 7mo has grabbed and been chewing some lavender in the garden.

(I didn't think he could reach it but he's quite the explorer!).

Does anyone know that it is OK or should I be worried? I don't think he has swallowed any - I got him too quickly for that - but he was munching on it for a bit before I could get it out of his mouth.

I have briefly looked on t'interweb and it appears lavender is safe to eat, but nothing says about a young baby. He appears to be perfectly fine - anyone know anything about this?

(I suppose I can look forward to some nicer smelling nappies at least!!)

Should be ok - but take it as a warning, some plants aren't so benign (house plants as well as garden ones)
