My ds has a sickness bug, now his lips are blue

He has been unwell from Tuesday night, being sick at night in his bed, and during the day just wanting to snuggle up and cuddle and sleep.
Whenever i try him with something light to eat he is sick, but he is managing to keep down water and some diluting juice.
Today his lips are blue sometimes. They are red again now, but have went blue twice. He doesn't seem to be having any breathing problems though.
I called the GP and they have no appointments until Tuesday.
Does anyone have any advice? What should i be doing?

I would insist on getting him checked out if his lips are blue. Call NHS direct or ask for an emergency appointment from the GP.

That indicates lack of oxygen in his blood, get him checked out.

i've been on the phone to them, i had to explain everything to the receptionist after she said they couldn't see him till tues, she just said sorry.
Can i call nhs direct now? i thought it was for out of hours. I will try that.

Is he old enough to take to a walk in centre (I think they have to be 2) or I'd go to A&E

We too have the sickness bug - I rang my HV and she was very helpful.

But DD2 lips did not go blue. I hope it works out okay.

I called back the GP and explained that i felt i really needed to see someone and asked if i could take him into the hospital. She told me just to take him in and one of the other GPs would see him.
They said he has a sickness bug, and that his lips were blue because he was crying too much, he was screaming the surgery down. But he hadn't been screaming earlier on. I have to keep an eye on him, give him calpol and call the nhs 24 if he gets any worse.
