DS2 got hand foot and mouth when he was 9 months old - although I didn't get him seen by GP I was 99% certain - he had loads of tiny fluid filled blisters on palms, soles of feet, lower legs and, I assume, inside his mouth cos he would want to feed but scream and refuse it when offered (until we had covered dummy in teething gel which seemed to work)

he has been generally off-colour last couple of days, better today and back at nursery where one of the staff said Hand foot and mouth is going round - when I got home I found several blisters on palms and soles of feet and small red spots on legs - but how can he have it again?????? huh?

could it be something different?

I'm sure I've read that there a several hand foot and mouth viruses, so that is possible.
