Exposed to chickenpox three weeks ago, and hasn't got it yet - have we escaped?

Or is there still a chance ds2 could get it? I don't really want him to catch it, but sort of feel it would be good to get it over and done with. Especially if it is going round now then he will probably end up with it over the summer holidays which wouldn't be fun.

Incubation is up to 21 days.

Agree, incubation 21 days, so your ds2 probably won't develop it. Unless of course he was exposed to it from another source as well.

You've probably escaped this time.

DS has been exposed repeatedly over the last three years and is yet to catch it. I think he's waiting until the most inconvenient moment possible...

Thanks.

it is 21 days tomorrow.

he'll probably wake up covered in spots, or wait for the most inconvenient moment too

Bit odd though that his best friend was at toddlers three weeks ago and came down with chickenpox the next day, but not a single other kid caught it
