he will be fine tho. sore maybe, but fine

tribpot · 08/06/2009 18:33

Oh poor you and especially poor ds. But you can't realistically go with him and leave dh with the baby, try not to worry about them. He will be fine.

GrimmaTheNome · 08/06/2009 18:33

owwww poor DS.

You're certainly not useless, you're BFing a new baby aren't you? DP and the medics will take care of your DS till he gets home for a cuddle.

Comewhinewithme · 08/06/2009 18:35

I know he just looked very shook up and he is usually ard .

ouch indeed.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 18:42

aww, poor lad, but you know he will now swagger and show off his 'war wounds' don;t you, being 11

Wallace · 08/06/2009 20:42

Ouch, that is one of those that makes you wince reading it.

cocolepew · 08/06/2009 20:44

Ow!

Comewhinewithme · 08/06/2009 21:50

He is back and ok with a huge bandage on his hand .

Hairline fracture in his little finger and he is on AB's the nail should fall off on it's own within a couple of days .

Thankyou all for keeping me company while I panicked .

Oh, lots of sympathy from me, I did this to my toenail, it is sooo painful for such a small looking injury. It may well fall off, and it will die before it does, which looks really grim, and if you jog it it will hurt.

But it is very cool watching the new nail grow in

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 22:08

oooh, ouch ouch ouch.

give him sympahty from me, I have done that (altho on my toes).....tis very sore, and throbs!

misdee · 08/06/2009 22:08

ouch.

glad his is ok and no op for him.

dd3 fingers had to be fixed under GA when she had an accident with a door. she had open fractures due to the bleeding. it was not nice at all.

hope he's feeling much perkier in the morning .

i managed to lose 2 nails when i was younger, eew.

Ozziegirly · 09/06/2009 07:33

Can I ask a silly question?

When the nail grows back, does it kind of slide along from the bed and creep up the finger, or does it harden on the nail bed all at once?

JackBauer · 09/06/2009 14:32

It grow up from the cuticle at the base and sort of creeps up.
And it isn't a silly question, DH and I were fascinated by it as we had no clue how it was going to work!
