chicken pox.......piriton syrup

help please I have 2 1/2 year old with chicken pox and have piriton syrup aged 1 plus in cupboard. I know there has been lots of fuss re this and seems to not be on the shelf in chemists anymore......canh i use this?

I uesd some for dd aged 3 the other day.Dose was 2.5 ml.She had an allergy.

piriton is not marketed as a cough medicine and was not included with the others that had their age limits increased. It should be fine to use.
