Does anyone please know when you are still contagious with cp?
I know they used to say that it was until the last spot had scabbed, but I've just dropped ds1 at a party and one of his school friends has cp and is there.
Her mum said as soon as the spots appear, they're not contagious anymore.
Just wondering as we go on holiday on Friday and really hoping he doesn't catch it.

Some people say it is until the last spot has scabbed. The HPA say that children chould be excluded from school for 5 days after the spots have appeared.
The incubation period is 11-20 days, so depending on how young your holiday is you might be OK even if he does get it. Are you going abroad?

Hopefully you will be OK. At least if it is Butlins you wont have the issue of being stuck in another country because your DS isnt allowed to fly home.

HPA says that they should be excluded fo 5 days from appearance of the FIRST spot.
